Tadoba National Park is the largest & the finest National Park in the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra state which is situated just 45 kms from the Chandrapur District of central Indian State Maharashtra and at the distance of 150kms from the Nagpur.From the Nagpur you can hire the taxi or buses to reach there.As a reserve it was declared in the 1935.The main tourists attraction of the National Park is lake in the midst of mixed deciduous forest, hills.Here you can see the wildlifes like the leopards, tigers.Major another attraction of this area is the hills which covers the Chimur Hills, and Andhari sanctuary covers Moharali & Kolsa ranges.Tadoba National Park is spread in the area of the 623 sq.km., it is attached with the huge lake from the southwest, it likes as a buffer in between the Park Forest and the extensive farmland extending right up to the Irai Lake.

This park is derived its name from one of the India's 43 "Project Tiger" - Tiger reserves and the name'Tadoba' is the name of the God "Tadoba" or "Taru" who is worshipped by the tribal people of the forests of the Tadoba and Andhari region. In the Tadoba National Park you can see the various wildlifes like the tigers, Leopards, Sloth Bears, Gaur, Wild Dogs, Hyenas, Civet and Jungle cats.The tourists can visit here anytime as it is open all around the year even in the monsoons.
